Running out of time, men and resources, Germany would pin their fleeting hopes on the strangest of hybrid aircraft - the Mistel. Hitler’s plans for world domination were beginning to crumble. The Soviets had outlasted their invaders and were eradicating them from their territory. Soon the Allies would be storming in from the West, crushing the German forces from the other side.
Without a heavy bomber to punish their foes, Germany created the Mistel. Fused together from the remains of their air force and packing an enormous bomb, it was hoped this aircraft would stop the Allies in their tracks or at the very least slow them down.
