Terry Kingsley - Collision

In 1972, 92 Squadron at RAF Gütersloh received an unusual sortie mission. They were tasked with flying their English Electric Lightnings in a diamond nine-ship formation as a demonstration for their AOC's visit . It was an intricate maneuver where inches mattered, however, it was not something the squadron had practiced together. Terry Kingsley, flying in the centre of the diamond, knew something was awry when he felt another aircraft pushing him. Before he knew what had happened another Lighting struck his own. Terry found himself flying upside down and unaware of where his squadron was.
